Tab after Upscaling
Ray Regeneration.
Games that ship DLSS Ray Reconstruction get an FSR denoiser path. Since 0.3.5 it is its own tab, drawn while it runs. The Neural tab keeps one line and an Open Ray Regeneration button. dlss nr amd still runs after it, on the denoised picture.
Hogwarts Legacy, the hook reporting DLSS to FSR 4.1.1. Judge the denoiser with Neural Rendering switched off. The neural pass sits on the denoiser's output, so a shot with NR on does not tell you about the grain.
In the game: upscaler DLSS, ray tracing or path tracing on, Ray Reconstruction on. The Upscaling tab then reads FSR Ray Regeneration.
RX 9000 runs AMD's denoiser. On RX 7000 it is a preview, on by default: AMD's denoiser has no RDNA 3 provider, so the picture is upscaled without one until you untick the preview.
Denoiser backend Off tells the game Ray Reconstruction is unsupported, so the game keeps its own denoiser after a restart.
Diagnostics on the tab show grain in, grain out, and still-camera flicker, measured while the tab is open.
